Joan and Annie Duke it Out.

And then there were two. The Donald decided to fire mild mannered Jesse James and stubborn Clint Black this week on The Apprentice. Tasked with creating a jingle and 30 second jingle for tuna giant Chicken of The Sea, team Athena ( led by tone deaf poker pro Annie Duke) was considered the underdog. However, the table turned very quickly on team KOTU as the ever stubborn Clint Black was steadfast in his commitment to a slow, country jingle for the product even though his team insisted that it should be sped up and tweaked. It's about time Black was relieved of his job, as anyone who remains closed-minded to the constructive thoughts and opinions of others can never truly learn anything. Mr. Trump also decided to cut the non-fund raising Jesse James and intellectually inept Playmate Brande Roderick for good measure. Both deserved to go, as James raised no money for charity, but plenty of acrimony on the set, berating his teammates and refusing to use his celebrity relationships to raise money for charities. The blonde stereotype reinforcing Roderick survived this long only by aligning herself with a smarter and ruthless Annie Duke.

Will it be Joan or Annie who is anointed "The Apprentice"? Poetic justice would be crowning Joan Rivers the winner. My gut, however, tells me the ruthless, two-faced contestant will win instead.

Trump Gives Herschel His Walking Papers

Yogurt and chicken didn't register with Schwan Foods this week, and as a result, celebrity contestant Hershel Walker was fired by Donald Trump on this week's Apprentice. Tasked with creating an original dish and dessert for packaging and delivering to customers, both the KOTU and Athena teams were to compliment their creations with a marketing plan for review by Schwan management. Once again, a lack of social skills did in a project manager as Walker interpreted being a manager as the same as being a dictator. Instead of being open to the opinions of his team and researching Schwan's product offerings and consumer trends, he went with his personal, non-original choice of chicken. It didn't help much that in his previous task of raising charitable contributions via Ivanka Trump's jewelry line, he was an accessory to the crime of losing that task; golfer Natalie Gulbis was the casualty. While Natalie's departure was task deserved, (she poorly chose the auction pieces, opting for small pieces which would not be visible in a large auction house even whilst right beside her, a more experienced Melissa Rivers chose larger items) Herschels' was long overdue: Narcissism isn't condoned in the workplace.

Brian McKnight, You're FIRED!

This week's Apprentice delivered its latest casualty: Brian McKnight. Now, personally, I'm happy to see him go. As I said in last week's post, he has been one of the least contributive players and attempted each week to "fly under the radar". It was this posturing that kept him alive this long, masking his lack of business acumen and common courtesy. In fact, his enormous ego and arrogance, which I personally experienced during a music industry convention awhile back (he totally rudely ignored my respectful "Hello Mr. McKnight, I love your music") This guy just snubbed me, looked past me and stuck his nose up at a fellow industry executive.

He was lucky to have won a task as project manager; all he did was perform, which we all know he's good at. His people skills, however, are terrible. His business acumen is non-existent and his disrespect of a troubled Dennis Rodman was inhumane.

The Apprentice just became more enjoyable to watch!

Chloe Kardashian & T-Boz Get The Boot!

This week's The Apprentice (yes, internet marketing guys love the Donald too) was very different. No, not as unusual as the appearance of Dennis Rodman, who I feel is a king on the court but was out of his element on this stage. It was atypical in that two people relatively innocent celebs were fired: Chloe Kardashian (daughter of famed lawyer/OJ Simpson Attorney Robert Kardashian) for a previous DUI offense and T-Boz (of TLC fame) for unwittingly volunteering to visit the gallows with condemned prisoner (project manager of her losing team) Mellisa Rivers.

However, opposing team project manager Clint Black, who obviously has very little business sense (ignoring his teamates, suppressing the comedic genius of Joan Rivers, flawed sense of humor, etc.) was indeed deserved of being canned for this week's task of creating a viral ad for ALL Detergent; he was spared. Not that Chloe has contributed much to her team other than staying under the radar and avoiding attention (as Brian McKnight does), but there were celebrities more qualified for a pink slip than those fired. To Mr. Trumps credit, he did magnaniously offer 20k to Kardashians' charity of choice. while at the same time showing us his dislike for lack of business acumen and of drinkers who drive at the same time.

I sure didn't enjoy seeing T-Boz go. How about you?

"When is the next Pagerank Update"

is a question I often get. Considering the last PR export occured in October 2007, I's assume sometime befor April 30th is when we'll see one. Make sure you've optimized your site ethically and within the Google guideline protocols. Your website will more likely improve in position than suffer at the hands of blackhat techniques.

Is Your Website Invisible?

If your website is recieving little or no visitor traffic from those using Google or Yahoo's search engines, it is the opinion of igroupseo.net that your website is "invisible": another good looking website simply floating in cyberspace, visited by no one. If this applies to your website, search engine optimization, or SEO, is what the doctor orders.
